Exploration Projects Reviewed
January 23, 2003
January 23, 2003 - W. Douglas Eaton, President, is pleased to announce that ATAC will be presenting information regarding its gold projects and planned 2003 exploration at its booth at the Cordilleran Exploration Roundup on Tuesday, January 28 from 10 AM to 5 PM at the Westin Bayshore in Vancouver.
ATAC’s feature exploration projects for 2003 will be the Arn and Golden Revenue properties, in which the Company holds 100% working interests.
The Arn property hosts a promising 2002 drill discovery plus a number of new prospecting finds. A drill is currently on site and is ready for follow up holes to test beneath and along strike from a blind intersection that averaged 11.92 g/t gold across 12.67 m, within which is an interval that assayed 64.42 g/t across 1.98 m.
The Golden Revenue property is a more advanced gold prospect. It includes several lightly explored high grade targets and an 1800 x 500 m bulk tonnage zone, only a small portion of which has been drill tested. Results from different high grade targets include the following:
- 15.6 g/t gold over 5 m in an old adit
- 31.45 g/t gold over 15.24 m in a reverse circulation percussion hole
- 18.6 g/t gold over 2.2 m in a diamond drill hole
- 16.8 g/t gold over 6 m in an excavator trench
Exploration in the bulk tonnage zone has also produced impressive results. Thirteen diamond drill holes in a 200 x 200 m area near the centre of the zone have yielded a total of 59 significant intersections within broader areas of lower grade material. On average, each hole contains cumulative significant intersections totalling 49.51 m in length at a weighted average grade of 1.35 g/t gold. The longest individual intersection averaged 1.32 g/t gold across 57.76 m. Very little drilling has been done outside of this core area.
ATAC is actively considering various financing and option alternatives that will ensure that these quality prospects receive the attention they deserve. For more information please visit our booth or contact us at 604-688-2568 or email at moc.sercata@ofni.
