Tiger Tote Road

In March 2018, ATAC Resources received conditional approval by both the Yukon Government and First Nation of Na-Cho Nyak Dun for a 67 km, all-season, gated and restricted access tote road to the Rackla Gold Project, following review by the Yukon Environmental and Socio-Economic Assessment Board. The proposed tote road would branch off the Hanson Lake Road west of Keno City and is envisioned as a private, gated, single-lane (5 m wide), gravel and controlled-access road to support advanced exploration at the Tiger Deposit and throughout the Rau Trend.

On November 27, 2020, ATAC was notified that the Yukon Government had rejected the Company’s application to construct the proposed tote road. A copy of the Reasons for Decision is available below.

ATAC does not agree with many aspects of the government’s decision and, in consultation with its external legal counsel, is evaluating options.
